Students for Animal Rights (StAR) is a new coalition of college animal rights groups. StAR seeks to empower its member groups to make more powerful contributions to the animal rights movement.

Animal suffering is not just a concern of tree-hugging, sign-waving hippies. As America’s future leaders, we recognize the value of animals’ lives. We object to the exploitation of billions of animals on today’s factory farms, in testing facilities, and in clothing production. We have come together to make the world understand that America’s top students find animal exploitation unacceptable.

Through coordinated events, sharing ideas, and outreach to colleges that are just beginning to form animal rights groups, the members of StAR will do everything we can to fight for the day when animals' rights are respected.
